How many car makes softwares are included?
1 free car make software of your choice in case you purchase i400AU single make, each car make after that you need to purchase additionally ($100 per car make software)
Is this unit compatible with my vehicle?
The i400AU is compatible with OBD1 and OBD2 vehicles and available to be used on a wide range of major AU, EU, US, and Asian car brands. It’s better to check directly with us on whether your specific vehicle make, model, and year is compatible.
How do I sign up for a Vident account?
Head over to videnttech.com and sign up for an account here.

How do I register my scan tool?
To register your scan tool you must log into your iScanZilla account and navigate to the ‘Register Products’ tab and enter your serial number and password that is included in the enclosed piece of paper inside of the scan tool box

Can I add more car makes?
Yes, you can hold up to 5 car makes on the Vident i400AU. Each additional car make beyond your free car make will be an additional cost of $100 per software.
How do I add more car makes to my scan tool?
To add another car make you can either:
A) Head over to our website to purchase here. Once purchased, you can give us your scan tool serial number and preferred car make and we will add that to your tool. It will become available as an update in your iScanZilla account.
B) Log into your iScanzilla account and purchase via the ‘Software Management’ tab
How much are the subscription fees?
There are no fees associated with the i400 software updates, Vident provide free lifetime updates
Troubleshooting
Connection issues - screen is blank, unit will not power on, unit will not connect?
- In these cases, we would advise that you format the SD card and reload the software, this usually fixes such issues. Step by step guide on how to do this here

Why am I being told my scan tool has already been registered?
If you are being displayed with this error message when trying to register your device in iScanZilla, please contact us directly and we can help reset the account details
Why can't I download more car make softwares?
This could be an issue relating to SD card space, please check the remaining space on your SD card, and you may need to purchase a larger SD card. Please ensure it is the same format as the current SD card.
Functionality
How do I view live data?
To view live data you need to manually select your vehicle (rather than auto scan) and navigate to the live data section
Can this unit program new keys?
The unit is capable of key programming but as with any service/maintenance function, we always recommend you reach out directly to us to check for your specific model, as the coverage is vehicle dependent.
Why won’t the automatic vin read function work?
The scan tool is capable of this function however it depends on the vehicle connected - older vehicles will not have the auto vin function enabled
Where can I perform maintenance/service functions?
For most car make softwares, to perform maintenance functions on the i400AU, there is a separate screen/icon. On the homescreen you’ll see two icons, one for general diagnosis e.g. ‘Toyota’ and another for maintenance and service e.g. ‘Toyota Maintenance’ Please note this can vary across car makes.

What is iScanZilla?
The iScanZilla is software from Vident that is used to manage the Vident scan tools including the i400AU (ilink400). Via the iScanZilla software you can register your scan tool, download the updates as well as buy more car make softwares (for i400AU).
Are AZscanners and Vident the same company?
No, Vident are the manufacturer of Vident scan tools such as the Vident i400AU. Us, AZscanners, are an independent Australian company that sell diagnostic scan tools, including being an authorised reseller of Vident tools.
